Electrification can optimise high-maintenance processes and reduce environmental impact in the transport and heavy-duty sector. Read here how this works.
BIBUS AG supports the future with its products and supply plants. What role do the products play in the future of the transport and heavy-duty sector?
Our products and supply plants are designed to have a significant influence on developments in the transport and heavy goods sector. There is a particular focus on the rail industry, where electrification is increasingly being used at the moment to promote sustainability and make equipment more user-friendly. Electrification can optimise maintenance-intensive processes and reduce environmental impact.
Electric actuators are on the rise and are contributing to the replacement of hydraulic systems. What developments do you see in electric actuators in terms of their role in electrification and sustainability?
The development of electric actuators is very promising in the railway industry. They play a central role in replacing hydraulic systems. Electric actuators not only offer cost efficiency, but are also an important contribution to sustainability. Especially when it comes to maintenance, hydraulic systems can be costly and even have a harmful impact on the environment. Modern electric actuators focus on environmentally friendly, energy-efficient operation and a long service life, which contributes to sustainability.
How do you work with your customers to implement these benefits in exciting projects?
Close cooperation with our customers is central to BIBUS AG. We strive to implement innovative projects together and to exploit the advantages of electric actuators. Through customised solutions, we accompany our customers in the realisation of their ideas and requirements.
Which certifications and standards are relevant for the development of your products?
When developing our products, we place particular emphasis on compliance with relevant standards and certifications. This is particularly important in the field of electrification, where specific standards apply. Our electric actuators already meet requirements such as CE, UKCA, RoHS and REACH (EU).
To what extent are electric actuators also an alternative to hydraulic systems in industry?
Electric actuators are not only an alternative to hydraulic systems in the railway industry. They have long been known for their space-saving and compactness. Nowadays, however, they also offer the same strength as hydraulic systems. This makes them an attractive option for various applications in the industry.
